2025 டிசம்பர் 1 அன்று தமிழ்நாட்டில், மாநில அரசின் நிர்வாகக் குறைபாடுகள் காரணமாக பல்கலைக்கழகங்கள் கடும் நிதி நெருக்கடியில் உள்ளதாக பாஜக தலைவர்கள் குற்றம்சாட்டினர். பல்கலைக்கழகங்களின் அன்றாடச் செலவுகள், ஊழியர் சம்பளம் மற்றும் கல்வி மேம்பாட்டுத் திட்டங்கள் பாதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
நிதி ஒதுக்கீடு குறைவு, நிர்வாக தாமதம் மற்றும் அரசியல் தலையீடு ஆகியவை உயர்கல்வி நிறுவனங்களை திவால் நிலைக்குத் தள்ளியதாக பாஜக கூறியது. இந்த நிலை தொடர்ந்தால் மாணவர்களின் கல்வித் தரமும், ஆராய்ச்சி செயல்பாடுகளும் பாதிக்கப்படும் என எச்சரிக்கை விடுக்கப்பட்டது.
The BJP on December 1, 2025, alleged that several universities in Tamil Nadu are facing a severe financial crunch due to administrative failures of the state government. It stated that routine operations, staff salaries, and academic development programs are being affected across institutions.
According to the party, inadequate funding, delayed financial approvals, and political interference have pushed universities toward financial distress. BJP leaders warned that if the situation continues, it could seriously impact the quality of higher education and research in the state.
