சிவகங்கை மாவட்டத்தில் 2025 டிசம்பர் 1 அன்று நடந்த கடுமையான சாலை விபத்தில் 11 பேர் உயிரிழந்தனர். இரண்டு அரசுப் பேருந்துகள் நேருக்கு நேர் மோதியதில் இந்த விபத்து ஏற்பட்டதாக முதற்கட்ட தகவல்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன. பலர் படுகாயங்களுடன் மருத்துவமனையில் சிகிச்சை பெற்று வருகின்றனர்.
இந்த விபத்தில் உயிரிழந்தவர்களின் குடும்பங்களுக்கு தலா ரூ.2 லட்சம் நிதியுதவி வழங்கப்படும் என்றும், காயமடைந்தவர்களுக்கு தலா ரூ.50,000 வழங்கப்படும் என்றும் பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி அறிவித்துள்ளார். சம்பவ இடத்தில் மீட்புப் பணிகள் விரைவாக மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டதாக அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்தனர்.
In a tragic road accident reported from Sivagangai district on December 1, 2025, at least 11 people lost their lives after two government buses collided head-on. Several passengers sustained serious injuries and are undergoing treatment at nearby hospitals.
