2025 டிசம்பர் 3 நிலவரப்படி, சென்னைக்கு குடிநீர் வழங்கும் செம்பரம்பாக்கம், புழல், பூண்டி, சோழவரம் மற்றும் கண்ணன்கோட்டை–ஆதியூர் ஆகிய ஐந்து முக்கிய ஏரிகளில் மொத்தமாக 86.15% நீர் இருப்பு பதிவாகியுள்ளது.
செம்பரம்பாக்கம் ஏரியில் 85.32% நீர் இருப்பும், புழல் ஏரியில் 94% இருப்பும் காணப்படுவதால், தற்போதைய குடிநீர் தேவைக்கு போதுமான நிலை உள்ளது.
பூண்டி ஏரியில் 88.24%, சோழவரம் ஏரியில் 57.08%, கண்ணன்கோட்டை–ஆதியூர் திட்டத்தில் 89.8% நீர் இருப்பு உள்ளதாக அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்தனர்.
As of December 3, 2025, Chennai’s major water reservoirs together hold about 86.15% of their total storage capacity.
Chembarambakkam reservoir stands at 85.32% and Poondi at a high 94%, indicating comfortable drinking water availability for the city.
Puzhal records 88.24%, Cholavaram 57.08%, and Kannankottai–Adhiyur 89.8%, suggesting stable water supply conditions in the coming weeks.
