2025 டிசம்பர் 4 அன்று, ஈரோடு மாவட்டம் அந்தியூர் அருகே சின்னதம்பி பாளையம் பகுதியில் கஞ்சா விற்பனை தொடர்பாக போலீசார் நடத்திய சோதனையில் இளைஞர் ஒருவர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார். சந்தேகத்தின் அடிப்படையில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட வாகன சோதனையில் அவரிடமிருந்து 1.5 கிலோ எடையுள்ள கஞ்சா பறிமுதல் செய்யப்பட்டது.

On December 4, 2025, police in the Anthiyur area near Chinnathambi Palayam in Erode district arrested a youth in connection with ganja trafficking. During a routine vehicle check based on suspicion, officers seized 1.5 kilograms of ganja from his possession.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused was involved in selling ganja in small packets within the locality. Following this, Anthiyur police arrested him and confiscated materials used for drug distribution.
Police are continuing their investigation to identify the source of the ganja and the network involved in its supply. Authorities stated that anti-narcotics enforcement would be further intensified across the district.
