2025 டிசம்பர் 4 அன்று, மதுரை மாவட்டம் திருப்பரங்குன்றத்தில் நடைபெறும் வருடாந்திர தீபத் திருவிழாவை முன்னிட்டு 144 தடை உத்தரவு அமல்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. மலை உச்சியில் இன்றிரவு தீபம் ஏற்றப்பட உள்ள நிலையில், கூட்ட நெரிசல் மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பு காரணங்களுக்காக இந்த நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
பொதுமக்கள் மலைப்பகுதிக்கு செல்லவும், குறிப்பிட்ட இடங்களில் கூடவும் தடை விதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. போலீஸ், தீயணைப்பு மற்றும் வருவாய்த் துறையினர் பாதுகாப்பு பணிகளில் ஈடுபடுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளனர். அவசர தேவைகளுக்கான சேவைகள் மட்டும் அனுமதிக்கப்படும் என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

On December 4, 2025, Section 144 has been imposed in Thirupparankundram, Madurai district, ahead of the annual Deepam festival. As the ceremonial lighting of the Deepam is scheduled atop the hill tonight, restrictions have been enforced to prevent overcrowding and ensure public safety.
Public movement to the hill area and large gatherings have been restricted. Police, fire services, and revenue officials have been deployed for security arrangements, while essential services will continue to operate as permitted.
The district administration has urged the public to cooperate for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the festival. Authorities warned that legal action will be taken against any violations of the imposed restrictions.
