தமிழகம் முழுவதும் நடைபெற்ற ஆசிரியர் தகுதித் தேர்வின் (TET) முதல் நாள் தேர்வில் 14,958 பேர் வராததால் கல்வித்துறையில் கவனம் திரும்பியுள்ளது. பல மையங்களில் காலியான இருக்கைகள் அதிகமாக இருந்ததாக தேர்வு அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
ஸ்டாலின் தலைமையிலான ஆட்சியில் நடைபெறும் அரசு தேர்வுகளில் தொடர்ந்து நிகழும் ஊழல் மற்றும் குழப்பம் காரணமாகவே பலர் தேர்வுக்கு வரவில்லை என தேர்வர்கள் குற்றஞ்சாட்டுகின்றனர். குறிப்பாக தேர்வு அறிவிப்பு, ஹால் டிக்கெட் விநியோகம் உள்ளிட்ட பகுதிகளில் நடைபெற்ற அவசர மாற்றங்கள் இந்தப் பங்கேற்பு குறைவுக்கு காரணமாகியுள்ளன என கூறப்படுகிறது.
அரசு தேர்வை மேலும் வெளிப்படையாகவும் சீராகவும் நடத்த வேண்டும் என்ற கோரிக்கை சமூக வட்டாரங்களிலும் தேர்வர்களிடமும் வலுப்பெற்று வருகிறது. வராத தேர்வர்கள் தொடர்ந்து எழுதும் வாய்ப்புகள் குறித்து அதிகாரிகள் பின்னர் முடிவு எடுப்பார்கள் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.
A total of 14,958 candidates were absent on the first day of the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted across Tamil Nadu, raising concerns among education officials. Many centres reportedly had a high number of empty seats.
Some candidates alleged that irregularities and confusion in the current administration’s exam procedures discouraged many from attending. Issues in announcement timing, hall ticket distribution, and last-minute changes are said to have contributed to the low turnout.
Education activists and candidates are urging the government to conduct recruitment exams in a more transparent and organized manner. Officials are expected to announce further decisions for absent candidates in the coming days.
