மதுரை எம்.கே.புரம் பகுதியில் நடந்த பழிப்பு-பகை வழக்கில் நீதிமன்ற விசாரணைக்கு வந்த இளஞரை, வெளிவந்தவுடன் ஓட ஓட விரட்டிச் சென்று கூலிப்படை குழுவினர் தாக்கி கொன்றதாக தகவல் வெளியாகியுள்ளது. சம்பவம் நடந்த தெருவில் போலீசார் விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகின்றனர்.
இளஞரின் மீது இருந்த பழைய வழக்குகள் குறித்த கோபம் காரணமாகவே இந்த தாக்குதல் நடந்திருக்கலாம் என பகுதி மக்கள் கூறுகின்றனர். இரவு நேரத்தில் பாதுகாப்பு இல்லாமை குறித்த கவலைவும் அவர்கள் முன்வைத்துள்ளனர். நிவாகா திரளின் படையெடுப்பால் மக்கள் இடையே பதட்டம் நிலவுகிறது.
In Madurai’s MK Puram area, a youth who appeared for a court-related hearing was reportedly chased down by hired assailants and murdered. Police teams are inspecting the spot and reviewing CCTV footage for further evidence.
Locals state that previous enmity and case history may have triggered the fatal attack. Concerns have been raised about lack of safety at night in the neighborhood. The incident has created tension in the area, prompting increased police deployment.
