தென்காசி மற்றும் நெல்லை மாவட்டங்களில் தொடர்ந்த கனமழை காரணமாக நவம்பர் 24-ஆம் தேதி (2026) உள்ள அனைத்து அரசு மற்றும் தனியார் பள்ளிகள், கல்லூரிகளுக்கும் விடுமுறை அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. பாதுகாப்பு முன்னெச்சரிக்கை நடவடிக்கையாக மாவட்ட ஆட்சியர்கள் அறிவிப்பு வெளியிட்டுள்ளனர்.
தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டத்தில் பள்ளிகளுக்கு மட்டும் விடுமுறை அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும், வானிலை மையம் அடுத்த 48 மணி நேரமும் மழை தொடரும் வாய்ப்புள்ளதாகவும் தகவல் தெரிவித்துள்ளது. மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் பெற்றோர் மழை பாதுகாப்பு வழிகாட்டுதலை கடைப்பிடிக்கும்படி கேட்டுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது.
Due to persistent heavy rainfall in Tenkasi and Nellai districts, the district administrations have announced a holiday on November 24, 2026, for all government and private schools & colleges as a precautionary measure.
In Thoothukudi district, the holiday applies only to schools, while the Weather Department has warned that rainfall may continue for the next 48 hours. Students and parents are advised to follow safety precautions during rainfall and avoid unnecessary travel.
