சென்னை உள்ளிட்ட தமிழக நகரங்களில் 2025 டிசம்பர் 1 முதல் 19 கிலோ வணிக எல்பிஜி சிலிண்டர் விலை ரூ.10.50 உயர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதன் மூலம் சென்னையில் வணிக சிலிண்டர் விலை ரூ.1,739.50 ஆக நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
உணவகங்கள், ஹோட்டல்கள், தேநீர் கடைகள் உள்ளிட்ட வணிக பயன்பாட்டாளர்களுக்கு இந்த விலை உயர்வு நேரடியாக தாக்கம் ஏற்படுத்தும் என தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 14.2 கிலோ வீட்டு எல்பிஜி சிலிண்டர் விலையில் தற்போது எந்த மாற்றமும் இல்லை.
எரிவாயு விநியோக நிறுவனங்கள் மாதாந்திர விலை மதிப்பீட்டின் அடிப்படையில் இந்த மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதாக கூறுகின்றன. எரிபொருள் செலவுகள் மற்றும் சர்வதேச சந்தை நிலவரம் விலை மாற்றத்திற்கு காரணமாக குறிப்பிடப்படுகிறது.
From December 1, 2025, the price of the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has been increased by ₹10.50 in Chennai and other Tamil Nadu cities. With this revision, the commercial LPG cylinder price in Chennai now stands at ₹1,739.50.
The price hike is expected to impact restaurants, hotels, bakeries, and other commercial users who rely heavily on LPG for daily operations. Meanwhile, there is no change in the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder.
Oil marketing companies stated that the revision is part of the regular monthly price review. Changes in global energy prices and input costs are cited as key reasons behind the commercial LPG price adjustment.
