சென்னைக்கு கிழக்கே வங்கக்கடல் பகுதியில் நிலவும் காற்றழுத்த தாழ்வு மண்டலத்தின் தாக்கம் காரணமாக, 2025 டிசம்பர் 2 முதல் நகரில் காற்றின் வேகம் அதிகரிக்க வாய்ப்பு இருப்பதாக வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
இதன் காரணமாக சென்னையில் மணிக்கு 40 கி.மீ. வரை காற்று வீசக்கூடும் என்றும், சில பகுதிகளில் லேசான முதல் மிதமான மழை பெய்யும் என்றும் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. மீனவர்கள் கடலுக்கு செல்ல வேண்டாம் எனவும் எச்சரிக்கை விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
தமிழ்நாடு அரசு மற்றும் பேரிடர் மேலாண்மை துறை முன்னெச்சரிக்கை நடவடிக்கைகளை மேற்கொண்டு வருவதாகவும், பொதுமக்கள் தேவையற்ற பயணங்களை தவிர்க்க அறிவுறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும் அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்தனர்.
Due to a weather system developing over the Bay of Bengal, wind speeds across Chennai are expected to increase from December 2, 2025, according to the India Meteorological Department.
The IMD has stated that winds may reach speeds of up to 40 kmph in parts of the city, with chances of light to moderate rainfall. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea during this period.
State authorities and disaster management teams are on alert, and residents have been advised to stay cautious, follow official weather updates, and avoid unnecessary travel as a precaution.
