சென்னை விமான நிலையத்திலிருந்து விம்கோ நகர் நோக்கி இயக்கப்பட்ட மெட்ரோ ரயில், தொழில்நுட்பக் கோளாறு காரணமாக நடுவழியில் நிறுத்தப்பட்டது. இந்த சம்பவம் 2025 டிசம்பர் 2 அன்று காலை நேரத்தில் நிகழ்ந்ததாக தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
ரயிலில் பயணம் செய்த பயணிகள் சில நேரம் ரயிலுக்குள் காத்திருக்க வேண்டிய நிலை ஏற்பட்டது. பின்னர் மாற்று ஏற்பாடுகள் செய்யப்பட்டு, பயணிகள் பாதுகாப்பாக அருகிலுள்ள நிலையங்களுக்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லப்பட்டனர்.
இந்த கோளாறு காரணமாக அந்த வழித்தடத்தில் சில மணி நேரம் சேவை பாதிக்கப்பட்டது. மெட்ரோ நிர்வாகம் தொழில்நுட்பப் பணிகளை விரைவாக முடித்து சேவையை வழக்க நிலைக்கு கொண்டு வந்ததாக அறிவித்தது.
A Chennai Metro train operating on the Airport to Wimco Nagar route was halted midway due to a technical snag. The incident occurred on December 2, 2025, during morning operating hours, causing a brief disruption to services.
Passengers onboard experienced a delay and were asked to wait inside the train for a short duration. Metro officials later arranged safe evacuation and facilitated travel to nearby stations through alternate services.
Chennai Metro Rail Limited stated that the issue was promptly addressed and normal services were restored after technical checks. The incident caused temporary inconvenience to commuters on one of the city’s busiest metro corridors.
