சம்பள பிரச்சனை காரணமாக நகராட்சி அலுவலகம் முன்பு போராட்டம் | Protest held over salary issues in municipality
2025 டிசம்பர் 3 அன்று, அம்மாபேட்டை நகராட்சியில் பணியாற்றும் தூய்மை பணியாளர்கள், சம்பளம் மற்றும் பணிச்சூழல் தொடர்பான கோரிக்கைகளை முன்வைத்து அமைதிப் போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர். நகராட்சி அலுவலகம் முன்பு திரண்ட பணியாளர்கள், நீண்ட காலமாக நிலுவையில் உள்ள பிரச்சனைகளுக்கு தீர்வு கோரினர்.
சம்பள தாமதம், போதிய வசதிகள் இல்லாமை மற்றும் பணிச்சுமை அதிகரிப்பு ஆகியவை தங்களின் முக்கிய கோரிக்கைகளாக இருந்ததாக பணியாளர்கள் தெரிவித்தனர். அதிகாரிகளிடம் பலமுறை மனு அளித்தும் உரிய நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படவில்லை என அவர்கள் குற்றம்சாட்டினர்.
இந்த போராட்டம் காரணமாக சில பகுதிகளில் தூய்மை பணிகள் பாதிக்கப்பட்டதாகவும், விரைவில் பேச்சுவார்த்தை நடத்தி தீர்வு காணப்படும் என நகராட்சி தரப்பில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டதாக தகவல் வெளியாகியுள்ளது.
On December 3, 2025, sanitation workers employed by the Ammapettai municipality staged a peaceful protest in front of the municipal office. The protest was held to highlight long-pending issues related to salary payments and working conditions.
Workers said there have been delays in wages, lack of basic facilities, and increased workload. They claimed that repeated petitions to officials had not resulted in any concrete action.
Due to the protest, sanitation work was affected in a few areas. Municipal authorities indicated that talks would be held soon to address the workers’ demands and restore normal services.
